Not Getting Them
I got a call a few minutes ago. The girls' social worker has been on vaca (hmmm, weird I was told she was in a training class). So anyway, the social worker is on vaca, and someone else placed them with another family. The social worker did not tell anyone about us. So she tells our agency. They are very very very sorry, and they are still looking for us. I was trying to stay upbeat on the phone, but I was sad. I am okay though, I had a feeling. UGGH!!!! I must be being flogged here!! This is my foster parent initiation....

Ah yes, your social worker not telling anyone else that you exist and have space. That is a good one to check off your list of BTDT :) We had that happen when we did care for the county...only the licensing worker "forgot" to add us for 6 months even though I called her every other week.
I'm sorry. It bites.
Sorry to hear that. That really stinks.
That's the pits but be assured knowing that GOd already knows your kids-who and where they are and which kids are right for you. Your time will come.
(((hugs))) It'll happen for you! In the meantime, let yourself grieve..even if you never even had them.

God knows? Doesn't God place children with the right parents in the beginning? Or does God make mistakes that he has to go back and fix?
