I Get It...Sort of
Why do parents that have children in foster care insist on silly, unimportant demands when it comes to their children? Oh, because they are 'their' children, 'you are mine', 'I can do what I want with my kids'. This is the mentality and attitude of some parents I have dealt with. Maybe it's a way of keeping control. The problem is that this type of attitude puts the children last (again). The parents aren't caring or seeing what is good and healthy for their kids. That is why they are in foster care to begin with. So why do we continue to give in to all these insane demands? I get it, as far as the parents go- they want control of something that is theirs (the children). How selfish.

what I believe she is saying biological parents are not as well suited to parenting as foster parents.
and to her comments about silly demands... I have complied with each court ruling done all the case plans. watched the CPS lie about each item along the way. and my primary demand? I demand my children do not get molested, over drugged, beaten, malnourished, and that they get actual supervision so our daughter didn't get poisoned from eating paint only to be found hours later and took her a week and a half to recover.
Your title says Foster Parenting: Our New Journey. So how long have you been in Foster Care??? By the way the proper terminology should be Foster Care Giver, since, where I come from, we are caring for the children until they can be returned to their parents. And speaking of the parents, how well do you know the parents? And yes, parents should be responsible for their children.
So bios are selfish for demanding rights to their own child. That's interesting. I guess you think that they should role over and play dead and just hand over their child for you to raise. I wouldn't sell you a dog, much less give you a child to raise. You have the empathy of a rattlesnake and I feel very sorry for any child that's left in your care. I can only imagine what you'd tell them about how selfish and demanding their REAL parents are.
You're in bed with the devil if you're dealing with CPS. It's illegal, immoral and unethical to sell a child yet that is the system you are caught up in. CPS is so corrupt and out of control and there's a warm, cozy spot in hell for you and everyone else who takes part in the legal kidnapping and selling of our nation's children.
