This only gets better...
Hmmm seems that one of my baby's mom is Hep C pos. What does this mean for my baby here? We should have been told of this. I will get all the records mon or tues. His records did not say he was hep c pos. But it did say he was tested. Results were not there or something. I was getting the records read to me over the phone. So now what? What are the chances of this? Dear God, please let this baby be neg for Hep C. I am so worried. Why weren't we told? Unless baby is neg?

Praying for you all!
Don't you love it when they 'forget' to mention something about your kids to you. They 'forgot' to mention A LOT of things to us about this placement.
Hep C isn't as serious as you are thinking. It is Hep B that is bloodborne and sexually trasmitted, and can give you major problems. I am pretty sure that Hep C is the one that is caused from abusing your liver for too long, like with drugs and alcohol. You shouldn't have to worry too much about the baby.
Hope he is negative.
I certainly hope he is negative, but I believe that Hep C is not necessarily real bad. I think if a child is positive he will need to have his liver checked periodically, but I have heard that a lot of people live their whole life with Hepatits C and never have a problem with it.
we didn't know our foster baby had a broken collarbone from delivery. nothing on record- and we got her under 2 days old. I finally took her in at 2 weeks because she had limited arm movement and they did xrays. it was already healing nicely, but I was horrified, thinking of how I would have been super-gentle putting clothes on, etc.
